The City Palace Museum at Night
The Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust, under the patronage of the Royal Family of Jaipur, introduces evening time opening hours, with special ticketing for Museum visits and for Sculpture Lumière Show. This state-of-the-art spectacle of light and sound has been created by the world renowned French Sculpture Lumière Artist - Patrick Rimoux, and begins with an introductory narrative by Shri Amitabh Bachchan. It was always a dream of Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur to create a unique experience for the Museum guests, especially in the evening, where guests can visit the museum and admire the rare beauty of The City Palace after dark (in the evening).

It was also her vision that the Museum guests should have an opportunity to learn about the History of the Jaipur Rulers, in an innovative way, along with the beautiful artwork and architecture of the erstwhile Kingdom of Jaipur. The Sculpture Lumière show highlights the palace's intricate architectural details, its rich art patterns and gives the guests a chance to contemplate and appreciate the beauty of the City Palace. The beautiful walls of Sarvato Bhadra Chowk and the world famous Chandra Mahal itself, acts as the canvas to showcase this very unique and rare show.

The show depicts the History of Kachhwaha Rulers of Jaipur State and their contribution to Jaipur, through a rare collection of vintage photographs and video footage showcased on the walls of Sarvato Bhadra Chowk (duration: 28 minutes approx).

The whole evening is created in way that guests can visit the Museum galleries before the Sculpture Light Show and enjoy a sumptuous meal after the show, in royal splendour at the Palace Cafè
